Engage          Educate             Empower

KIRAN has commenced a project in October 2018, called 'NAMASTE', in order to achieve the following:

To promote social inclusion for the benefit of the public by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society.

KIRAN work actively to bring people from different communities together by organissing meaningful engagement opportunities. This help community members to build strong relationships with one another. The project, 'NAMASTE' has been initiated in order to bring different communities together by organising social activities on regular basis.   Any member of the public is welcome to participate in the design, deveopment and delivery of the activities. KIRAN is committed to ensure that 'NAMASTE'  is a project that is led by the community members.   NAMASTE involves the following steps:

Step 1. Community Discussion and Identification: At this stage, KIRAN will try and understand the types of activities that can be organised and will interest people, including both children and adults, from different communities to participate and be engaged.

KIRAN  thinks it would be beneficial if there was a focus group involving members from different communities, in order to listen to their views about the project. It would be a small group of people focused on providing their insight in this regard. The focus group will meet at least once every year. The first Focus Group meeting is taking place on 24-November-2018.

The focus group will discuss the following:

1.What type of activities can be organized or arranged to interest people from different communities to participate and be engaged?

2.The nature and form of such activities?

3.The frequency of such activities?

At the end of the meeting the focus group will come up with the recommendation by suggesting the activities which will help KIRAN achieve the objective of the project ‘NAMASTE’.

Step 2. Discussion and Analysis: The trustees of KIRAN will discuss and analyse the recommendations in the trustee meeting in Jan/Feb 2019. The trustees will assess and finalise the recommendations that could be implemented to the best of the available resources whilst keeping to the aims and objectives of KIRAN.

Step 3. Calender: On the basis of the recommendations given by the Focus Group, subject to the approval of the trustees, the calender of activities for 2019 will be announced in Jan/Feb 2019 and KIRAN will organise the activities accordingly.

Step 4. Evaluation and Continuation: During the end of 2019, the Focus Group will meet again and Step 1 to Step 3 will be repeated to produce the Calender for 2020 and so on.

If you would like to take part in the project 'NAMASTE' in any capacity or think that you can contribute to the project in any way, please get in touch with us. We are waiting to hear from you.

KIRAN is an indpendant organisation working to fulfil its own aims and objectives. It has got no branches.
